Framing toxic masculinity *or* any harm done by a man as inherently tied in with testosterone/manhood/"how men naturally are"- including in a joke- simultaneously:
-gives bad men an excuse for their bad behavior (since you are effectively saying it isn't something they can help doing/is an inherent part of their biology so there is no way to fight/stop it)
-perpetuates the idea men are bad instead of actually addressing harmful behaviors, which makes it far harder/less likely for people to speak up about abuse from non-men AND directly enables that abuse to continue and become more socially accepted (all the horrific 'jokes' about women manipulating or hitting their man partners shows abusers you don't see what they do as abuse/a real problem that needs to be stopped and victims that to you the idea of them being abused is funn!)
-discourages men who would otherwise work to untangle themselves from toxic masculinity from doing so by reaffirming to them that no matter what they do you always will see them as evil testosterone monsters/don't think they can improve even if they try
-perpetuates transphobic gender/bioessentialism and transphobia overall
-AND harms the many, many good men out there (trans and cis!)
Testosterone is not bad, "men" is not a monolith demographic of bad people, and you perpetuating these ideas does harm to literally all good people in our society.
Just. Fucking. Stop.
