when i looked up what the hell this was it even came up with articles about its so hated that companies instruct HR et all to hide it so people can't criticize the practice

google combines it with some other ever shifting scoring matrices but they openly do it

@sun @pwm @volpeon i'm pretty sure its just the investors wanted dividends so they fired everyone to make the numbers. now its a new fiscal quarter so they're hiring so some manager can grow his department.

there is no grand plan in most cases its just people following local perverse incentives.
