not saying jquery is bad (it is just bloated. i wonder how jquery 4 will turn out though)

and the old small alternative i knew about (zeptojs) is ancient and not maintained anymore

@kura @fristi why not just use vanilla at that point?

Most of the behaviours of jQuery can be done way nicer in Vanilla by now and most animation things just with plain CSS too.

So you're saving yourself any amount of library size.
