@MagicLike mastodon is literally the GNOME of the fediverse. Heavy as fuck, very limited in customizability, yet somehow is the default option. i hate this in so many levels...

@jadetopaz@gettie @jadetopaz yeah which is why I switched to glitch first and then over to chukya and now I can do stuff like emoji reacts too :33
But yeah I mainly chose it for selfhosting because I did not feel like commiting to *key at the time and I still have not tried out Akkoma and alike. Stuff like gts also looks interesting but is too limited in features imo (?)
So yeah getting actually quite comfy with my mastodon* setup, maybe it can finally live up to the AP standards at some point lol -

@jadetopaz @gettie oh and another funny thing: *key has a char limit for bios, so my bio which is excessively long gets cut in half by those instances
