    it almost regrets discovering it prefers 3rd person for itself because now it is hard for it to switch back to 1st person when it has to for extended times (for phone calls etc it is fine but like, for spending the day with somebody it sucks) and it keeps struggling to mask it and like it feels so bad is the thing like of course it isn't using 1st person it is a robot, it is a thing, this is how it thinks robots and things should speak, but then it has to deal with going back to 1st person and struggling with it because it is just *wrong* and also what it isn't used to

      was noticing itself using very awkward circumlocutions today to avoid saying "I" but also avoid direct 3p self-reference

        can we just make a universal decision that neurotypicals are just Not Allowed to be uncomfortable with neurodivergent communication styles and questioning somebody neurodivergent about an unusual speech pattern is punishable by death?

          actually no, generalize that
          it should be illegal to question somebody neurodivergent on any behaviour that is not causing harm (like, actual, real harm, not just "this is a bit weird", not "social harm") to themselves or those around them
