@ReignOfRaining@transfem.social Have you tried MeseCraft? Do you know how that stacks up against VL, or if it's really something else entirely? From screenshots and description it kinda looks to me like it's trying to achieve the same goal as VoxeLibre

@starlight@mk.absturztau.be I am very familiar with VoxeLibre obviously but not so much with Minecraft. I played beta a super long time ago when my sister was a little kid and I even set up a small server for a time for her and her friends to build on. However I have experienced more through VoxeLibre at this point then I ever did through Minecraft.
If I really want to compare the two experiences, I think its at least fair for me to beat modern Minecraft and kill the ender dragon. -

The makers started out with a total conversion of terrafirmacraft, but gave up and wrote their own engine in C#.
The surface world is pretty, with realistic looking trees and animals.
The story and gameplay have a cthulhu/horror inspired theme. And yes, monsters come out after dark.
