Remember when I told you about my dad's new car, whose interface is all touch-based?

Oh and the person responsible for iconography clearly doesn't understand some icons. There's a touch button next to the volume bar with this icon: ⏻
What do you think it does? That's right, it mutes the volume. -

@Lingondraken No, it's this

@Lingondraken No, it's this
@volpeon oh. oh no
That is just another step in the same direction Apple started by confusing "pause" with "stop", isn't it?

@volpeon Oh nothing new now, but I am pretty sure forever ago it was Apple who started the whole thing of ditching the stop button in their phones media players, leaving just play/pause as your options.
And of course others copied them...

Remember when I told you about my dad's new car, whose interface is all touch-based? Even the buttons on the wheel and on the door?
He likes to rest his hand on that button area on the door, and now he accidentally keeps activating random buttons. That was never a problem when physical force needed to be exerted. Good shit.@volpeon
It's the same thing with my earbuds for running. They are great, but who thinks sports gear should have touch buttons?I had to disable touch control completely since it's unusable when you sweat, especially when wearing a hat.

Good shit.Oh and it also seems to be wider than the previous car. We know this because getting out of the garage was a struggle before, but now it's hardcore mode. Reviews said it was a "smaller electric car targeted at the European market". Well, I guess compared to those pickup monstrosities it is outright tiny. I don't even know why people want cars that big, we got plenty of space in ours.
