Its split into two halves, so regular year numbers means the car was registered in the first half of the year, and +50 to the year number means the car was registered in the second half of the year.
The "proper" year covers registrations between March and September, and the late-year covers September to March of the following year.

This car had a 74, meaning it was registered REALLY recently, like between September 2024 and March 2025
