@volpeon I recently realized that I have that cilantro/coriander 'soap gene' but rather than it tasting/smelling like soap it ends up smelling like stinkbug.
I looked it up and it actually makes sense; Stinkbug smell and Coriander are both very high in Aldehydes https://www.reddit.com/r/FuckCilantro/comments/nw0ngr/fun_fact_both_cilantro_and_stink_bug_share/?rdt=56016

@volpeon I guess we should both be glad because technically speaking Aldehydes are toxic, carcinogenic and mutagenic, it makes sense for the gene to exist, it just means we're more aware of some toxins present in some foods and alike
