• can receive and cache remote media just fine
• can upload and attach local media just fine

when the user is correctly configured:

• still works fine with remote media
• can't upload local media (something just fails but I can't see what's off since the logs are more or less useless)

@jacksonchen666 the gotosocial user is ID 1007:1007. when that is misconfigured to an user that doesn't exist on the system, everything works as expected. if it is configured to an user that does exist, then it doesn't work. ​
