no, they're not. you see, when things happen to you that cause trauma, things associated with those things begin to hurt you. for instance, the sound alexa makes when it drops in (sorry about having one of those, it's not my choice unfortunately) hurts me when i hear it because it was often used by people to shout at me. similarly, since a lot of abuse of users happens via modern interfaces, it's likely that the modern design style subtly hurts you. for instance, it's hard for me to use bluesky since it's designed after twitter. so using things that have the older design styles that you used to use in a simpler time when such abuse wasn't happening to you won't hurt you in the same way the modern design does.
