@hj I really wanted to not have an outline this time. And yet, most people prefer it in the poll because what a surprise, emojis can be hard to see depending on the background color. I hate this.

@lanodan @hj Any non-black outline is a distraction from the emoji content and makes it even harder to read. I tried.

or have a subtle gradient/blurred line

@hj @volpeon And as Pleroma's logo does, slightly transparent outline so it doesn't clashes too much.

@lanodan @volpeon also you can have outline just not that thick, which is my complaint about volpeon's emoji. IMO thick outlines are also quite distracing.
