I want to buy a new laptop and was thinking about a MacBook Air m4 (it should release sometime this month). But does anyone know a good laptop with a comparable batterie. I would be happy to configure linux and everything but I want 18+ hours without charging. And I haven’t found anything comparable so far

@Fredddyyy well such high efficiency on a custom ARM chip like Apples M-series is almost unbeatable, like they have the capability to optimise everything for this one chip, dunno if there is anything similar out there - you could e.g. take a look at the ARM board for the Framwork 13 and I believe there are also other boards/Laptops available but I don't know them from the top of my head.
other x86 options would be e.g. the Tuxedo InfinityBook Pro 15 but that is 5h below your target...
Then there is also Asahi Linux for M-series Macs: https://asahilinux.org - but the M4 is not completely supported so you might want to dualboot it
