Oh boy that surely was a wild nightmare. It's a recurring one, but it never lasted for so long or felt so vivid before.
I think it's related to sleep paralysis, but it's not quite that.
The dream started with me being unable to move. Slowly I gained control of my body, except for my eyes; I just couldn't open them. And when I tried to force them open, they just wouldn't work; they would simply display the same image (the ceiling) no matter what. Apparently the solution was putting in my earbuds and listening to some music. That unblocked my eyes: they started feeling less tense and would respond to me. And then I sort of woke up, unsure if what just happened was real or not. I was only able to confirm it was not because I didn't have the earbuds in my ears. -
