ok i have a working first version of my dumb program to make global keyboard/mouse/gamepad button binds on linux that work everywhere
    https://git.deepzero.net/shibari.git/

hotplugging of input devices is half-broken (well, requires root cause input devices are first owned by root:root and any udev rules to change that take effect afterwards) and also the whole point of doing this was to get PTT working in mumble when using wayland but starting a /bin/sh process to run `mumble rpc starttalking` is too slow so i'll have to add a dbus plugin as i suspected
