            @catraxx Wait, is it? Purrs are usually when breathing in and out, but this is just on exhales. 🤔

              @catsalad Big cats can not purr. So all of the panthera. Only smaller cats can. But this leopard is clearly enjoying themselves. it is a rumble, the next best thing.

                @catraxx @catsalad Purring is technically on both the inhale and the exhale, but the ossified hyoid bone that lets panthera roar prevents purring on the inhale. That doesn't mean it's not the same behavior, though, just that they have to take a breath to keep doing it. Definitely a happy kitty!
