@volpeon@icy.wyvern.rip I mean... what voltages are they putting on those connectors? 3,3V? 5V? 12V? 24V?
That would mean a current between 41 and 304 Amps... (yes not continually but still at a peak)
Even 41 Ampere is a fucking lot for a PCB... -

Can't wait for a new wave of computers catching fire@volpeonidk... Cooling 1kw is not easy... And certain countries dont even have the required power infrastructure which can provide +1kw on a power plug...

@Jain @Erpel @volpeon I think Volpeon is referring to a new Connector that ASUS made that connects your gpu to a special motherboard which handles the power and gives it to the gpu:

The load was increased to close to 1900W with 150A of current fed through the GC-HPWR connector, a massive 3x increase over what the 16-pin power connector is capable of.
So it's a 12VDC connection... still a lot of current...
