@usernameswift Because USB Mini fucking sucks, and the port had worn to the point it wouldn't keep a reliable connection if the cable got bumped during a disc dump. Pulled pads, so I either have to do trace repair or buy a new one.

I bricked my PSX trying to modchip it because one of the world's smallest pads decided to come off

I am glad that it is the era of USB-C now@usernameswift Yuuuup. If I had a microscope and some good gear like I had at the repair shop, I'd love doing trace repair work like that. So satisfying seeing something deemed 'beyond repair' brought back to life with a little more patience and precision. -
