    @jiub @maddy I think I spent more of my time fixing other people's computers than using my own for a while in elementary school
    Fun times though

      @usernameswift Because USB Mini fucking sucks, and the port had worn to the point it wouldn't keep a reliable connection if the cable got bumped during a disc dump. Pulled pads, so I either have to do trace repair or buy a new one.

      Thank you anyway for humouring my query! ❤

      @maddy Pads are the fucking worst aren't they
      I bricked my PSX trying to modchip it because one of the world's smallest pads decided to come off
      I am glad that it is the era of USB-C now

        @usernameswift @jiub Yeah, still pretty easy to do these days from my understanding. Wonder if this site still works - wiiu.hacks.guide

        Just be sure you take two backups of your eMMC. Those fuckers like to die.

          @usernameswift @jiub You might also be able to rip with 360 Slim drives, but you need the drive key entered in Xbox Backup Creator, IIRC. 0800-flashed drives for the most part act like a regular DVD/CD drive otherwise.

            @usernameswift @jiub Had to be - my parents wouldn't let me get a job while in school, and they wouldn't just buy me cool shit when I asked xD

                @usernameswift Yuuuup. If I had a microscope and some good gear like I had at the repair shop, I'd love doing trace repair work like that. So satisfying seeing something deemed 'beyond repair' brought back to life with a little more patience and precision.

                    @jiub @maddy That is a good point
                    I have no clue how much longer mine will hold up considering how much it's been used so I likely will
