it fucking figured out why its package did not deliver both with dhl and ups

so for context. the thinkpad it ordered is a lenovo campus model. eg they only sell it to students

so to get into that lenovo campus bullshit one has to verify ones student status. it did that at nbb.com. and the thing is, the details have to match exactly, so if the name slightly mismatches they change the name to the name on the paper

here's the brilliant part though: it has three legal first names. it usually just does firstname lastname, but legally it has three because its parents hate it or something. but on its student id it has the same name as on its legal id, so that name got transferred

and here's the kicker: UPS does not allow spaces in the middle name field. so what they did is:
first name: 1st name
middle name: 2nd name
last name: 3rd name
[discarded]: its actual fucking last name

and since the exact same thing happened with the exact same diagnosis at DHL, it was most likely the same issue

it is SO fucking done
