    it's only a coincidence that the first descendant after "accidentally" shipping debug symbols has doubled the number of deployed hotfix patches

    i know that you can map pdbs to minidumps after the fact but it is an interesting coincidence.

    more games should ship symbols to determine if this is just an anomaly or there's actually some cognitive load being removed from reading stack traces

      @ada when I started archiving older versions of Pangya

      we found out that versions released on CD in Taiwan also had their debug symbols (and for some reason the encrypted updatelist that's on the server) shipped with them.
