@awoo well termux (the terminal + "distro") provides a package manager and a manageable environment. or you can use the new vm stuff

@chfour thing is, it really would like to have something directly on android instead of via termux (which, in terms of resource monitors, has limitations imposed by google (it can only see itself and the total usage maybe)) or via the android virtualisation framework thingy (which only sees itself because it's a VM)

@awoo @sophie @hypha nix can be a bit of a pain in the ass but in its opinion it can pay out in the end

@hypha @49016 @sophie thing is, either it starts over with nixos, or it just stays on arch. it can't just mix-and-match since that will result in this one half-assing configurations instead of building something properly for once.

@chfour oh and google recently broke file access for apps like termux since it can't even access /storage/emulated/0 via termux anymore. all it gets is a cd: /storage/emulated/0: Permission denied.

@alina the only older phone that it has that's somewhat compatible with pmOS is its Samsung Galaxy S3 mini. the rest is either an iPhone or a Huawei phone from after they made it practically impossible to unlock the bootloader

@awoo how much is a fuckton?

anything with an sdm660/636, msm8953 or even msm8937 should be "fine" (do nooot get msm8917 if you want to actually use a gui, adreno 3xx is buggy)

@valpackett anything above 100 EUR used would be considered a "fuckton" of money (considering that I'm broke)
