dug up an old network device from the depths of storage closet, factory reset it, and the factory password doesn't work for some reason

    dug up an old network device from the depths of storage closet, factory reset it, and the factory password doesn't work for some reason

    found the manual, it doesn't say anything about how to properly reset it, nor any other possible way to fix it

    contacted the vendor which the device originally came from, got a "well, i guess you did reset it correctly, if it doesn't work, we can't do shit" and paid $5 for the call

    thanks for nothing, non-specific magenta-coloured telco
