My local council now has an AI chatbot. After prodding at it, it fell apart quite easily, and I was able to work out that it uses Anthropic, and I found the base prompt. As with any LLM chatbot, it is absolutely useless: asking it what day my bin is collected only gives you a massive wall of useless text with "check the council website for more information", which links you to the page about bin collections.

The wall of text is also completely unformatted, no line breaks, no paragraphs, or anything else.

@yassie_j And it's likely not cheap and puts the council in a position to actively participate once they all increase their prices massively. Which they will. They have to.
