I was tasked with mentoring a newly hatched programmer in one project
they made lots of nonsensical little mistakes that can only be caused by doing random shit not knowing what you do. which is normal for newly hatched programmers
but then the signs became too obvious - it was llm doing all that random shit. the person themselves doesn’t even understand the concept of compilers or data types.
wow, just wow.
and I feel the absolute majority of the newcomers will be like that, significantly hindered and intellectually neutered to the point of vegetable just doing what slop producing monster tells them to.
solution to that? cyberpunk game had a good instructions on what to do with predatory megacorporations, I like that approach.
