So I've been on Mastodon for about a year now and... for all its flaws, Mastodon (or Fedi as a whole, rather) has been my favourite social media experience in probably forever. That may be in part, however, because I never really used social media much before except for perhaps Twitter over a decade ago.

But the amount of lovely critters I've been able to meet on here has been astounding. I've always had trouble meeting new folk on other platforms and I've met more here in the past year-ish than I have ever before, really. I've even met two critters that ended up becoming my partners which I still can't believe ! Not only that, I've learnt a lot about myself with the help of lots of folk on here.

So yeah, Mastodon and Fedi definitely are far from perfect, but it's been such a lovely experience for me and one that I'll be forever grateful for having been able to experience and one which I will probably never forget.
