Hi friends, this is a notice that Enby.Life will cease support for all email services on July 27, 2025 (one month from today). SendGrid, our email provider, is discontinuing the free tier that we rely on for service. As I don't have the funds for a paid email plan, this will result in the loss of all email-related functionality for Enby.Life.

This includes:
- Password reset emails.
- Account login warnings.
- Notification emails (if enabled).
- Abuse report notifications (for moderators).

For notifications and login warnings, you can enable push notifications as an alternative. These are supported by all major browsers and platforms, including desktop devices and mobile phones.

I don't have a good replacement for the password reset system. For now, just contact me off-site if a reset is needed. Consider picking a secret "code phrase" and uploading it as a text file into your account drive. Our staff will ask you to verify this phrase to verify any requests to access your account, which should help keep things secure.

For everything else, I'm exploring the webhooks system as a replacement. Misskey supports a fairly powerful system of global and user-level webhooks, but they aren't compatible with any common systems. It may be possible to introduce Discord compatibility with a patch, which would make them far more usable.

I'm very sorry about this, and I know it's inconvenient. Hopefully it won't be permanent, but for now there's no other option.
