Fedi manages to have a grooming problem while also being extremely unfriendly to minors. I think these paradoxical issues are related.

Many think that there shouldn't be space in our community for minors because it's not safe for them. They think that the solution to stop grooming here is to push minors away. But, I'm not sure about that...

First, this is basically saying "oh, there will always be groomers in our community, the solution is to kick the minors out instead of the groomers". Come on, we are better than that.

Second, it can be so incredibly hard for traumaqueer minors to find community. So many queer groups push minors away, it's extremely hard to find accepting environments.

So they have no choice but to turn to unhealthy relationships.

And THAT'S how pushing minors away leads to them getting abused. If minors have no options for healthy friendships, they'll often resort to unhealthy ones. And otherwise, they'll still get further isolated and disconnected.

If one, as an adult, is only used to interact with other horny kinky adults, interacting with minors can be hard and scary, it requires some learning... Many don't want to do this effort, but more should, if we want to help them.

Kick the groomers out, take the minors in.
