being biracial (or tri-racial i think in my case) kinda sucks because i feel like i have zero identity

@ielenia I personally think that the way you shape your life for yourself is way more important than any possible cultural identity. It's likely just a me thing, but i don't feel jack shit about where i am from, their traditions or most of their culture, so i cherry pick what i like from it and just move on, stealing stuff i like from other cultures as i see fit.
Culturefluid, i guess

@catraxx that's hard when your ancestors are victims of colonization and abandoning your culture is contributing to colonization -

@0x4d6165 While true, it is still not your job to make up for the crimes of others. Either you feel it, or you don't. It is not your duty.

@0x4d6165 How so? Someone in the past commits a crime and now you should pretend to be something you don't want to be? That seems a little off. Culture only works when people actually want it.
Genuinely not sure how that is meant to work.

@catraxx I don't feel like arguing about this but please read about settler colonialism and how BIPOC people understand culture because your understanding is severely lacking -

@0x4d6165 I am not trying to argue either and i do think we are talking about two different things here. But sure, what would you like me to read?

@catraxx@tech.lgbt @ielenia@ck.catwithaclari.net as someone who is essentially a mutt of a human in terms of genetics, having bits from literally every single major ethnicity, I agree 100%. Sure I feel strongly about things because of my ancestry and enjoy aspects of it but that doesn't define me. All of my ancestors would be happy to see me be myself, open and honestly. And if they wouldn't, then I don't care about them anyway

@RedCyberPandaz @ielenia We're all mutts. And that's a good thing.
