      @izzy yeah it is.

      The board also has two PCI-Not-Express ports. Not sure what could be useful for... though I randomly stumbled upon PCI-Not-Express USB extenders.

          @a1ba GCN4's no slouch!
          I mostly like the W4300 because I can get them on ebay for $50 and put together a $150 haswell optiplex/elitedesk/etc rig for my niece and nephew, and they're _just_ new enough to be vaguely supported by amdgpu

          @izzy yeah, GCN4 is good.

          Maybe W4300 is also good enough for me, considering my comment above ._.

              @a1ba uses for a PCI slot that would be easier than finding PCI-e cards for, funny old networking and test equipment interfaces :3

                @a1ba @izzy SCSI is actually why I keep two x86 motherboards from few generations ago just to be sure some drivers would still work.

                  @izzy unfortunately that part of computing history happened before I knew what computers are

                  I mean my first computer with Pentium 4 had AGP slot taken by something 6000-ish nvidia

                      @a1ba @izzy I have stuff like old SCSI controller cards and old HDD, those are probably hardware independent so that bit is fine.
                      But I also have an SCSI scanner, and one for scanning photos (similar thing as what the Kodak booth would have, so at least probably could work on my Sun too).

                        @lanodan @izzy oh I see. Aside from obvious disks, I didn't know there were SCSI scanners.
