i like modern low poly as much as the next guy, it's good on its own thing, but when people start calling it like "ps1 style graphics" and deliver modern overpowered computer low poly style, i die a little bit inside. give me the crunch

thinking about how the beloved low-poly aesthetic back in the day was a result of people doing their best with really restrictive hardware/software limitations vs folks trying to emulate it now often don't take that aspect into account and i think that's why everything looks so off
