besties services (git.gay, pages.gay, etc) will be effected by maintenance from the server host currently planned for tuesday the 11th, and may take some hours. i’ll provide more info when i have it

edit to clarify: this is to fix the problems that have existed for the past month or so. any current downtime isnt new, its due to the server problems this maintenance is specifically to fix

i worry it comes off as me abandoning git.gay and everything else but the reality is its all i can ever think about that these things arent working well anymore. id do literally anything for these to work better and i care more than anything about this

@pixel yep, I'm aware of this! I've not played with it much but I don't think it would be nearly as convenient for the shader use-case- though maybe it'd still be possible? I'll have to look into it more

for everyone else who hadn't heard of this (i was 6 sorry!) it lets you pass elements through custom vertex shaders & fragment shaders as easily as:

filter: custom(

i used to make do with a school-issued chromebook and a very old dell optiplex. they struggled a ton with just a few browser tabs and a code editor open, making it a pain to get much of anything done. part of why i was so quick to accept the offer from dansup a couple months ago was to try to get something better.

i posted about this when it arrived a few weeks ago, but like- seriously, thank you all so so much. when i shared the links to donate to me (https://ko-fi.com/hazy and https://liberapay.com/hazy btw) when it all fell through i didn't think much of it, i certainly didn't expect this
still not doing well financially but i'll figure that out- now i can actually do work efficiently! i cant thank you enough
