For those who don't know, the standard paper formats are based on the golden ratio. So an A3 sheet cut in half is A4, cut it in half its A5... and so on. And all of these have roughly the same proportions, just smaller.

It's very neat, but the downside is that the measurements aren't perfectly round. A4 is 210 × 297 mm which are numbers that one just gets to know by heart.

Still, this is pretty much the smartest way to make a paper format

I wish I could use a Chromium fork on Android because Firefox kinda sucks, but I don't think any of them support having the address bar at the bottom, which is so painful to me (it's so much better at the bottom)

Also, by telling users to delete their account, specifically citing the risk that they may have to turn over data as evidence, couldn't Cache be deemed to be engaging in destroying evidence (under the law)?

It sounds risky for them, although it's probably good for the users, although I'd be scared that if there is actual harassment happening from the instance, it will make it harder to litigate.

Honestly it doesn't super surprise me that Catcatnya, out of all instances, would be subject to a harassment lawsuit. There have already been such accusations against them, the isntance looks a little shady to me...

Fedi manages to have a grooming problem while also being extremely unfriendly to minors. I think these paradoxical issues are related.

Many think that there shouldn't be space in our community for minors because it's not safe for them. They think that the solution to stop grooming here is to push minors away. But, I'm not sure about that...

First, this is basically saying "oh, there will always be groomers in our community, the solution is to kick the minors out instead of the groomers". Come on, we are better than that.

Second, it can be so incredibly hard for traumaqueer minors to find community. So many queer groups push minors away, it's extremely hard to find accepting environments.

So they have no choice but to turn to unhealthy relationships.

And THAT'S how pushing minors away leads to them getting abused. If minors have no options for healthy friendships, they'll often resort to unhealthy ones. And otherwise, they'll still get further isolated and disconnected.

If one, as an adult, is only used to interact with other horny kinky adults, interacting with minors can be hard and scary, it requires some learning... Many don't want to do this effort, but more should, if we want to help them.

Kick the groomers out, take the minors in.
