I mean, I am glad that we live in a parliamentary democracy, so this is going to buffer a lot (and it looks like we will be getting a strong left opposition) but this is still very depressing.
So, that is the deal: You can put up the biggest, most obvious, asshole as your candidate and people are like "yeah, that is my guy". Well, at least 20% of them. Another 20% are just fucking Nazis without any pretense whatsoever.
