Huh, Express VPN, PIA, CyberGhost and a whole bunch of VPN review websites are owned by Kape, who have a history of distributing malware.

Kape ALSO has links to the Israeli surveillance apparatus, and therefore likely to have Five Eyes involvement. In fact, Kape claims that it's jurisdictional basis is the UK, a country that wiretaps all inbound communications — important when you consider that many major transatlantic cables route through the UK.

Also, the CEO of Express VPN was found to be spying for the UAE against Emirati dissidents and journalists. Wonderful.

Hopefully nothing in recent history has happened that could have led to an uptick in VPN usage.

All of these nail salons, barbershops, vape shops, and phone repair shops that keep popping up on shopping streets must all be a front for money laundering. There is no way that there is enough demand that there needs to be more than one barbershop in one part of town.

The bin strike situation is still not resolved, and in my neighbourhood, the piles are growing so large that one of them is now threatening the electricity substation. :haggard:

I called National Grid, and since the land outside the substation belongs to the city council, they will now contact the council to clean it up.

Which is good, because if there was some kind of electrical fault or emergency, their workers would have no way of getting into the substation!
