@ClickyMcTicker thanks for taking the time to answer a lot of my questions/confusions/etc.! Multiple people now suggested me to just use CAT6A for permanent installations, guess that may actually be the sweet spot with enough headroom for the future.
okayyyy my idea of 3+3 turning into ← 🚃🚃🚃 + 🚃🚃🚃 ← didn't work because Gboard doesn't interpret the + character as part of a word (which makes sense)so I had to go with 3-3 instead, which feels silly but at least it works :3
and now WiFi even works! (though it needed to install iwd and enable that as a backend for NetworkManager because there was this one regression in wpa_supplicant starting from version 2.11 :neobot_shocked:)
