        @steffo @alexia tf is webxdc? I don't see a point in encrypting game traffic or starting it in chat or whatever. What we really need for _good_ multiplayer is either UDP so we can keep existing netchan, or keep TCP but rework the netchan.

        As for running it in Web, there are few people really interested in emscripten port. There was a port of old engine, there is another port based on new engine branch, but it's too intrusive and I can't merge it as is.

              @a1ba @steffo

              WebXDC is effectively sandboxed, offline webapps with the only connectivity being peer-to-peer using iroh

              Iroh does not enforce any given protocol so it could easily do UDP (or QUIC or something else)

              and really, yes there is not much practical use to this other than "why not"

                @steffo @a1ba (just like there's no use running doom on a set of minecraft sheep other than "why not", it's just for fun)

                    @alexia @steffo it actually could be very nice if we could rely on QUIC support in browser, so we could not only simplify netchan for it (as it's also handles most stuff for us), but also assume that it's still UDP under the hood.
