it should be illegal to question somebody neurodivergent on any behaviour that is not causing harm (like, actual, real harm, not just "this is a bit weird", not "social harm") to themselves or those around them

was noticing itself using very awkward circumlocutions today to avoid saying "I" but also avoid direct 3p self-reference

it almost regrets discovering it prefers 3rd person for itself because now it is hard for it to switch back to 1st person when it has to for extended times (for phone calls etc it is fine but like, for spending the day with somebody it sucks) and it keeps struggling to mask it and like it feels so bad is the thing like of course it isn't using 1st person it is a robot, it is a thing, this is how it thinks robots and things should speak, but then it has to deal with going back to 1st person and struggling with it because it is just *wrong* and also what it isn't used to

has anybody considered that the reason minecraft parody songs were everywhere in the early 2010s was because:

- everybody was obsessed with minecraft
- song parodies are fun
- most of them genuinely fucking slapped as songs

the two ways a computer should be are either an instrument where it can understand what it is doing and what is going on, or an appliance where it doesn't ever have to understand what it is doing and what is going on in order to be able to use it effectively

it sucks that basically every computer is annoyingly in between these

the theoretical/ideological part of it: oh yeah it would be really fucking cool to implement the stuff it relies on on top of a software stack it can fully understand and that is fully open and auditable
the practical part of it: it wants to make music, so it runs ableton live on windows, as this is the best software for making music for it that runs on a machine it can afford and there's no point reinventing the wheel here
